Who operates Selfsame

Information we collect and why

When you ask Selfsame to create a read, we collect the excerpts you choose to submit, an optional first name, the type of read requested, and the version and time of your consent. We use this information only to generate, store, secure and let you manage the read you requested. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to make employment decisions.

When someone opens a candidate-shared link, the read remains hidden until the recipient provides their name, work email, organization and stated purpose, and separately confirms that the person initiated the sharing without a requirement, request, pressure, reward or penalty. The recipient also acknowledges the Recipient Terms, this Privacy Notice, the limits of AI-produced information, the conversation-only and human-rights restrictions, and the handling restrictions. We record those acknowledgements, their versions and the time of access. We show this access record to the person who shared the read and use it to enforce the sharing restrictions and protect the service.

Private reads and profiling

You must actively consent before submitting your own excerpts. Selfsame uses automated profiling to create the read you request. It may retain short redacted excerpts that support your read, the generated read, consent record, security credentials in hashed form, connection events and sharing controls. Proper names are removed where detected, but context may still describe another person; do not submit another person's sensitive or private information.

Service providers

Netlify hosts the service and stored records. Anthropic processes submitted excerpts to support redaction and generation. These providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement or national-security authorities under local law. GetResonance remains accountable for personal information sent to service providers and uses contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

Control and deletion

Hard deletion removes the read, retained support records, temporary generation result, any historical shares and associated access records. Email the Privacy Officer to request access or correction, withdraw consent, or challenge our compliance with this notice. Deleting a profile ends future processing of that profile.

Retention

During the private beta, profile records remain while the profile is active and are deleted after 12 months without activity, or sooner on a verified deletion request. We retain only the information needed for the stated beta purposes.

Security incidents

We maintain safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of profile data and keep records of security breaches as required. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected people and report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as soon as feasible.

Limits

Do not submit government identifiers, financial account information, medical records, employee home addresses or material you are not authorized to provide.
